MID AUTUMN FESTIVAL

The Mid-Autumn Festival is a major traditional holiday celebrated in China and across East Asia. It falls on the 15th day of the 8th month of the lunar calendar, which usually lands in September or October on the Gregorian calendar.

Key traditions:

· Mooncakes – round pastries with sweet or savory fillings, often given as gifts

· Moon gazing – the full moon symbolizes reunion and completeness

· Lanterns – children carry lanterns, and some places hold lantern displays

· Family reunions – it's traditionally a time to gather with loved ones

Common greetings:

· 中秋节快乐 (Zhōngqiū Jié kuàilè) – Happy Mid-Autumn Festival

· 但愿人长久，千里共婵娟 – A famous poetic line wishing loved ones well even when far apart

Also celebrated in: Vietnam (Tết Trung Thu), Korea (Chuseok), Japan (Tsukimi), and other Asian communities worldwide.

In 2026, the Mid-Autumn Festival falls on September 25.

UNSTABLE LAND AT 5/98 ROAD

Take note that the land opposite 59, Jalan 5/98, Taman Supreme is unstable.

The slope has slowly fallen to the front. The TSRA Committee must inform the landowner about the unstable slope and repair it before a landslide can occur.

NEW CLAY POT RESTAURANT AT CHERAS BUSINESS CENTER

A new restaurant serving clay pot rice has opened recently at Cheras Business Center nearby.

Hui Lu Restaurant serves roast goose, chai siew clay pot rice.

TAMAN SUPREME VEHICLE NUMBER RECOGNISING SYSTEM

The new vehicle number recognising system at Taman Supreme will be implemented on 2nd. August 2026. 

The system was being tested for a few weeks in July 2026.

Information shown will be the registered car number, date and time of entry or exit. 

No address will be shown due to privacy concern.

TSRA TESTING NEW VEHICLE PLATE RECOGNITION SYSTEM

Wrong spelling of Testing and Thank you.

 

For the past 2 weeks, the entry and exit gates have installed the new vehicle plate recognition system for automatic opening.

No opening of car windows is necessary to show entry cards as the new system will recognize registered cars in the Taman to open the gates. Unregistered cars must push the inlet or outlet buttons.

HOCK HUA HERBAL TEA NEW OUTLET

Hock Hua Herbal Tea has opened her 2nd. outlet at Leisure Mall in Cheras. Their first was at Lotus Cheras.

It is a music restaurant and bar. Well decorated and good food.

TAMAN SUPREME will be carrying out their annual GOTONG ROYONG on Sunday, 8th. February 2026.

This GOTONG ROYONG is carried out before Chinese New Year.

All residents are invited to take part in this annual GOTONG ROYONG.

ZERO CRIME AND BREAKINS AT TAMAN SUPREME 2025

At our recent TSRA AGM, residents were informed that in 2025, no CRIME, BREAKINS or robbery were reported.

Our TAMAN with her only entrance , exit and security managed to prevent BREAKINS by petty thieves and strangers.

Overall security of our TAMAN was maintained over the years which has become a selling point of our TAMAN as a safe and secure residential garden.

Besides higher selling prices of our houses,

Taman rental of these houses has gone up.

Our TAMAN has about 220 houses with about 24 shophouses, if on average each house is about RM 1 million each, our TAMAN is valued at about RM 220,000,000.

We appeal to ALL residents and tenants to support our TSRA by paying up the security fees. Your co-operation is appreciated.
