Festival is being held at Lotus's Taman Midah car park for the past 2 weeks. 

The festival will end tommorow 22.10.2023.

Plenty of food and beverages. Do visit the festival before it closes tomorrow.

A 3 month old newly opened hawker centre at Cheras. Big space for car parking and plenty of food stalls.

NEW MANAGEMENT AT SAMY CORNER

A new management has taken over Sammy Corner at Taman Cheras. 

More variety of food available. 

TUK TUK THAI FOOD FAIR AT ECO CHERAS MALL

Sawadee,

Since last weekend, the Tuk Tuk Thai Food Fair has been operating at Ecocheras Mall roadside nearby.

Operating hours are from 11.00am to 11.00pm everyday. More than 60 stalls are set up here. Halal and non-halal stalls are available to all visitors.

This fair will be over this weekend.

For our residents who likes Thai food and drinks, do make your way there. 

Take your family for lunch or dinner. Tables are available for free sitting.

Parking can be a problem, so park opposite Ecocheras mall near the fruit stalls and walk across using the walkway.

DO NOT THROW RUBBISH OUR DRAINS

Some residents in our Taman have the bad habit of throwing rubbish into the drains of our Taman.

These beer cans were thrown into the drain behind Jalan 5/98 recently. The drinker who threw these beer cans should be more civic minded instead of dumping these cans without thinking.

Please do not treat our drains as your rubbish disposal. Rubbish can clutter up these drains and free drain water flow will be hindered.

Put your rubbish into bin bags and drop them into rubbish bins provided. Our rubbish collector will collect them twice a week.

DENGUE ALERT AT TAMAN SUPREME

To all residents of Taman Supreme Cheras

Please be informed that the rainy spell has started for the past few days. Please ensure that your house compound and outside premises are cleared of containers that can hold rain water including pet water pans. 

Water retention in these containers can breed mosquitoes which can spread dengue. 

A resident recently has contracted dengue and DBKL has been informed. 

DBKL will be doing fogging in our Taman soon. Kindly assist DBKL personnel in this fogging exercise.

As residents,  we can do our part by keeping our compound inside and outside clear of unwanted articles that can retain water. Your cooperation is appreciated. 

Let us keep our Taman dengue and malaria free.

If you know anyone who needs chemo treatment (化疗) and doesn't have insurance or money, kindly refer them to National Cancer Institute in Putrajaya.   

Chemo is RM4k and for senior citizens it is only RM200 per chemo. 

Medication is free. Twin sharing room is RM80.

Doctors and nurses are competent and it's a new hospital - less than 3 years’ old.

Suke Phase 2 from Alam Damai to Sri Petaling will be opening soon.

KUALA LUMPUR – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has agreed to postpone the gazettement of the Kuala Lumpur Structure Plan 2040 (KLSP2040) to allow for more engagement sessions with relevant stakeholders. 

Anwar said that the new plan, which was supposed to be approved this month, has been deferred to May 31 to ensure that amendments are made based on input from involved parties. 

“The government always prioritises projects that can generate economic growth while emphasising aspects of greenery and cleanliness. 

“The postponement (of KLSP2040) will provide room for politicians, companies, non-governmental organisations and other experts to voice their final thoughts on the matter. 

“I don’t want to lengthen the process (of parties scrutinising the plan) as it has been going on for up to eight years now, but they (stakeholders) should be given some time to share their views,” he told a press conference today after launching the 2K Programme here. 

The event was also attended by Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari and Deputy Local Government Development Minister Akmal Nasrullah Mohd Nasir. 

Previously, a group of disgruntled residents from localities in the city centre here handed a memorandum to authorities lamenting alleged inadequacies in the drafted KLSP2040. 

The Save Kuala Lumpur Committee, which consists of more than 30 residential associations, represented dissatisfied residents who urged Anwar to not approve the plan as many residential concerns were sidelined in the plan’s draft.

TAMAN SUPREME DEVELOPMENT

 Dear Fellow Residents 

Our responsible YB Tan Kok Wai had informed that DBKL, after all our objection letters and persistent queries from our YB Tan, had decided to withhold the approvals for the two proposed developments in Taman Supreme by Malim Courts Development. 

DBKL will meet up with us ( the 5 RAs Task Force) before granting approval.

Thus is good news and we shall stay united to fight this case. Tq

TSRA CNY CELEBRATION

Residents of Taman Supreme came to attend our annual CNY celebration after 2 years of absence due to Covid pandemic. 

Though it was raining heavily , residentsand braved the rain to join the celebration. 

A buffet dinner with a roast pig was served.  Beer and drinks flowed and dessert was cendol.

Happy New Year in the Year of the Rabbit 2023.
